Investigative Committee confirms eight deaths in Dagestan explosion

MOSCOW. Aug 28 (Interfax) - An explosion at the house of theologian Said Atsayev in Dagestan has claimed eight lives, including that of the female suicide bomber.

"The theologian, six parishioners who were nearby and the female suicide bomber have been killed," the Russian Investigative Committee told Interfax.

Currently, investigators are inspecting the scene, and efforts are under way to identify the woman who detonated the explosive device, investigators said.

Investigative procedures are under way to ascertain all circumstances that led to the attack.
