PhosAgro EBITDA slips 7% in Q2

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Fertilizer-maker OJSC PhosAgro's EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) slid 7% to 8.038 billion rubles in the second quarter of this year, the company reported.

Analysts had expected 8.355 billion rubles.

Company sales revenues for Q2 were up slightly at 24.441 billion. Analysts had expected 25.41 billion rubles.

Net profits, prior to the deduction of minority shares, were down 55% at 2.753 billion rubles.

For the first half, company net profits (prior to the deduction of minority shares) were down 12% at 10.802 billion rubles, sales revenues were up 3% at 50.359 billion rubles, and EBITDA was down 3% at 17.137 billion rubles.
