Rosneft chief Sechin set to visit Norway

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Igor Sechin, president of state-owned oil company Rosneft , makes a working visit to Norway on August 29-30, the company said in a statement.

Sechin plans to sign several agreements with Statoil and to visit an ExxonMobil platform during the visit.

The company said the agreements in question would be signed in the framework of understandings on projects between the companies in Russia.

Rosneft has reached agreements with three foreign companies to develop sections in the Arctic. It has signed one agreement with ExxonMobil to developing three licensed sections in the Kara Sea - Vostochno-Prinovozemelsky 1, 2 and 3 - and another with Italy's Eni to develop the Fedynskoye and Tsentralno-Barentsevskoye fields.

Also, the Russian company is working with Statoil at fields in Northern and Far East seas such as the Perseyevskoye, Admiralteiskoye and Pakhtusovskoye sections in the Barents Sea, as well as one of the Magadan blocks in the Sea of Okhotsk.
