Senate approves bill banning foreign base deployment in Uzbekistan
TASHKENT. Aug 30 (Interfax) - The upper chamber of Uzbekistan's parliament has approved a foreign policy bill that prohibits the placement of other states' military bases and other facilities on Uzbek territory.
The bill was submitted to parliament by President Islam Karimov as a legislative initiative.
