Putin: Rules of pricing in defense industry sector must be confirmed by government

NOVO-OGARYOVO. Aug 31 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has tasked the government to confirm the rules of setting prices for military products.

"The rules and principles of forming types and models of prices, of planning and calculating the cost value, and defining the actual price and profitability indices must be confirmed in Cabinet resolutions, while the numerous and often contradictory ministerial methods and instructions must be annulled," Putin told the Russian Security Council on Friday.

"I would ask the prime minister to give careful attention to this and control this work personally. We have not be able to this day to forge a common understanding of how prices are formed in the military-industrial complex," he said.
