Almost 23 tln rubles will be spent on state armament program in 10 years - Putin

NOVO-OGARYOVO. Aug 31 (Interfax) - The volume of investment in the state program of armaments and modernization of the defense industry will exceed 20 trillion rubles in the next decade, President Vladimir Putin has said.

"We are channeling an unprecedented sum - almost 23 trillion rubles - to the state program of armaments and the program of modernizing the defense industry during the next decade," he said at a Russian Security Council session.

"There will be no other money, there will be no more time" therefore the job will have to be done with utmost effectiveness and all resources should produce adequate results, he said.
