Gazprom Neft remains oil, condensate production growth leader in August
MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft maintained its leading position among major Russian oil companies in terms of the rate of growth in the production of oil and gas condensate in August, increasing extraction 5.2% year-on-year, according to Fuel and Energy Dispatch Center (TsDU TEK) figures.
Almost all companies increased the rate of production growth compared with July.
However, Lukoil saw output decline 1.4% and Slavneft 0.8%. But where the rate of oil production decrease quickened for Lukoil, it was the reverse for Slavneft.
Gazprom Neft was also the rate-increase leader for January-August with 5.1% growth, followed by RussNeft with 4.1%, Bashneft with 3.1%, TNK-BP with 2.1%, Rosneft with 2%, Surgutneftegas 1.3%, and Tatneft with 0.6%. Slavneft had a negative 0.7% and Lukoil a negative 1.6%.
