Otkritie discussing expanding partnership with Euroset - paper

MOSCOW. Sept 4 (Interfax) - Otkritie Financial Corporation, which plans to consolidate 100% of shares in Nomos Bank , is discussing the possibility of expanding a partnership with mobile phone retailer Euroset and Alexander Mamut, co-owner of Euroset and Nomos Bank, Otkritie FC co-owner Vadim Belyaev said in an interview with Vedomosti published on Tuesday.

"In this story [Otkritie FC's deal with Nomos Bank - ed.] there is another important element that no one has thought about yet - Euroset with its 5,000 points of sale. This is worth a lot, although Euroset, of course, is not Sberbank with its 20,000 branches," Belyaev said.

Asked whether Otkritie already had an understanding with Mamut that the merged bank would enjoy some sort of exclusive terms at Euroset, Belyaev said: "We are already selling our products in Euroset on an equal footing with other banks. The objective is to dramatically grow this business."
