Germany's EnviTec to build 3 biogas units in Belgorod region for 30 mln euro

BELGOROD. Sept 5 (Interfax) - German company EnviTec Biogas AG is planning on building three biogas units in the Belgorod region, costing a combined 30 million euro, OJSC Development Corporation told Interfax.

OJSC Development Corporation, LLC AltEnergo and EnviTec Giogas AG signed the trilateral contract.

According to the preliminary plan, the biogas plants will be erected in the region within a year.

EnviTec Biogas was created in 2002. It is currently implementing over 500 biogas unit construction projects in Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belgium, France and the Netherlands.

LLC AltEnergo, established in 2009, implements projects involving alternative energy sources. In 2010 the company commissioned a wind generating unit and a solar power plant in the Belgorod region.

OJSC Development Corporation, which was founded in May 2011, aims to create a favorable investment climate in the region. Its stock is wholly owned by the government of the Belgorod region.
