Gazprom investment program for 2012 approaches 1 trln rubles

MOSCOW. Sept 11 (Interfax) - Financing for Gazprom's investment program for 2012 will increase from 777 billion rubles by slightly more than 100 billion rubles, while assimilation of investment will increase by 190 billion rubles, Yaroslav Golko, a member of the Russian gas giant's executive board, said in a conference call for investors.

Gazprom's executive board will consider adjusting the investment program on September 11. The company's investment program for 2011 totaled 1.3 trillion rubles.

Golko said investment in transportation will increase to 490 billion rubles (from 369 billion rubles originally planned according to a July Eurobond memorandum), investment in underground storage will grow to "slightly more than 30 billion rubles" (from 17.3 billion rubles), and investment in production will increase to 243 billion rubles.
