There is no replacement for oil, gas so far - foreign ministry

MOSCOW. Sept 12 (Interfax) - Director the Economic Cooperation Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Gorban sees no alternative to oil and gas in a foreseeable future.

"There is no replacement for hydrocarbons in the near future," Gorban said.

He, however, noted that energy technologies are modernizing all the time. "I do not rule out that an energy-efficiency trend will continue dominating," Gorban said.
