Magnit shareholders to vote on H1 dividends on Sept 14
MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Shareholders in supermarket company OJSC Magnit , at an extraordinary meeting on September 14, will vote on dividends for the first half of this year, the company said in a statement.
The statement said that the board of directors has recommended that the shareholders approve a dividend payout for the first half, coming to 1,999,972,658 rubles. The payment per share might come to 21.15 rubles.
The shareholder register for taking part in the meeting closed on July 27. If the board proposal is approved, the retailer will make its first ever dividend payout for a half's results.
In recent years, Magnit has paid dividends the results of the second, third and fourth quarter and the first quarter of the next year.
At an annual meeting at the end of May, shareholders in Magnit confirmed the payment of dividends for 2011 at 18.26 rubles per share (total of 1.7 billion rubles) and 5.18 rubles per share (489.8 million rubles) for the first quarter of 2012.
