Putin, Lukashenko to discuss proposed disposal tax on imported farm machines
SOCHI, Russia. Sept 14 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said he would meet with his Belarus counterpart, Alexander Lukashenko, on Saturday and that the two leaders would discuss a proposed disposal levy on imported agricultural machinery that is to be scrapped after its service life.
Putin made the announcement at a meeting on Friday with the governor of Russia's Rostov region, Vasily Golubkov, and other officials from the region.
"I think that, say, it's also in the interests of Belarus that measures of the same kind should be carried out, and that they will support us within the framework of the Common Economic Space and the Customs Union," Putin said.
