Court to hear Yukos Capital appeal against ruling to invalidate 11 bln rubles in deals Oct 9

MOSCOW. Sept 17 (Interfax) -The Ninth Moscow Arbitration Appeals court will hear an appeal by Yukos Capital S.a.r.l. (Luxembourg) against a ruling by the Moscow Arbitration Court to invalidate four contracts with Yuganskneftegaz worth 11.2 billion rubles in total on October 9, court materials say.

The court on June 28 granted a suit brought by ZAO Vesta, a Moscow-based shareholder in Rosneft , against Rosneft itself and Yukos Capital S.a.r.l. to invalidate the contracts, which are dated July 23, 2004.

The court reopened the hearings of the suit on February 21, 2012.

Vesta petitioned the court back in 2007 to invalidate four contracts between Yukos Capital S.a.r.l. as lender and Yuganskneftegaz as recipient of 11.23 billion rubles in loans. Rosneft, as legal successor to Yuganskneftegaz, is a respondent in the case.

The court suspended the hearings in April 2009 and the Ninth Arbitration Appeals Court upheld that decision in October that year.
