Neutralized Ingushetia militants took orders from warlord Umarov - NAC

MOSCOW. Sept 19 (Interfax) - The five militants neutralized in Ingushetia had been plotting terror attacks at orders from North Caucasus warlord Doku Umarov, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) has announced.

All five were members of the Sunzha gang, set up to carry out daring, high-profile terror attacks, the NAC said.

"In May 2012, the group started planning operations in the republic at Umarov's orders, but special services have undermined their plans," the NAC said.

Reports said earlier that five militants were neutralized in a police and security operation in Ingushetia.
