Other flaws besides steam boiler problems identified in Vikramaditya tests - USC
MOSCOW. Sept 21 (Interfax) - Besides the power plant malfunction, uncovered during the aircraft carrier Vikramaditya's testing in the White and Barents seas, other flaws were identified, United Shipbuilding Corporation President Andrei Dyachkov told Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin on Friday.
"The steam boilers was the worst problem. But there were other mechanisms that malfunctioned, including those supplied by NATO countries," Dyachkov said.
Defects were uncovered in the refrigerator plant and in the nitrogen generator, he said. "Three refrigerators, a nitrogen generator and other equipment malfunctioned. The suppliers had been picked by the Indian side," Dyachkov said.
