Executive director from IDGC Holding elected Lenenergo board chairman

ST. PETERSBURG. Sept 25 (Interfax) - The board of directors at OJSC Lenenergo met on Monday and elected Andrei Murov as its chairman, the company said in a statement.

Murov now works as the executive director at OJSC IDGC Holding and first deputy CEO at OJSC Federal Grid Company UES .

It was earlier reported that the shareholders in the grid company replaced the board of directors at an extraordinary meeting in August 2012. Prior to this, former head of IDGC Holding, Nikolai Shvets, chaired the board of directors at Lenenergo.

OJSC Lenenergo is the largest regional electricity grid company in northwest Russia. It serves an area of 87,100 square kilometers with a population of over 6 million. The Lenenergo electricity grid complex consists of 38,800 km of overhead power transmission lines, almost 16,000 km of cable and over 13,800 substations.

The company's main shareholders are OJSC IDGC Holding (50.31% of common shares) and the St. Petersburg administration (25.16%).
