Lavrov invites Brahimi to Moscow, date of visit undefined

New York. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minster Sergei Lavrov has invited UN/LAS envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi to visit Moscow at a meeting in New York.

"Mr. Lavrov repeated his invitation to Mr. Brahimi to visit Moscow. This will be a working visit," Brahimi's aide Ahmad Fauzi told Interfax.

The date of the visit has yet to be defined, he said. "Brahimi is thinking over his new working tour and deciding where to go: either to Damascus or regional countries," he said.

Earlier, Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said that Brahimi may visit Moscow in the bear future.
