FGC chief elected chair of MOESK board

MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - The board of directors at OJSC Moscow United Electricity Distribution Company (MOESK) has elected the current CEO of OJSC Federal Grid Company UES , Oleg Budargin, as its chairman, the company said in a statement.

The executive director of OJSC IDGC Holding, Andrei Murov, was elected deputy chairman of the MOESK board.

Prior to this, the MOESK board was chaired by the former chief of IDGC Holding, Nikolai Shvets.

It was earlier reported that at the end of August, at an extraordinary MOESK shareholders meeting, a new board of directors was elected where six of the 13 members were replaced.

IDGC Holding was earlier transferred to FGC's management and, therefore, the holding's subsidiaries have elected new boards of directors.

MOESK is Russia's largest inter-district distribution grid company, servicing consumers in Moscow and the Moscow region. Its main shareholders are IDGC Holding (51%), Gazprom (31%) and the Moscow city government (8%).
