TNK-BP interested in hydrocarbon tenders in Colombia but still has not entered the country - senior VP

MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - TNK-BP is interested in hydrocarbon tenders in Colombia but sill has not entered the South American country, the company's senior vice-president, Chris Einchcomb, told journalists.

"At the start of the year, we were registered to take part in tenders [for hydrocarbon sections] but it was later decided against going there," he said.

The top-manager said that the company earlier decided against entering Colombia owing to "technical issues inside the company and [we] haven't been able to implement the necessary investment."

"We are nonetheless still looking at Colombia as a possible option for TNK-BP and haven't decided against complex operations in this country," Einchcomb said.
