Belarus regrets politicized approach of OSCE to Belarusian elections
MINSK. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Belarus has expressed regrets about the politicized approach adopted by the OSCE ODIHR to the evaluation of the recent parliamentary elections in Belarus.
"Unfortunately, it has to be said that the OSCE ODIHR has failed to overcome a politicized approach to the evaluation of the Belarusian parliamentary elections, Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Savinykh told a briefing in Minsk on Thursday.
At the same time, he said Belarus "is not ready for constructive and mutually respectful relations if mechanisms of pressure are not used against it."
Savinykh reiterated that "Belarus is thankful to foreign observers, including independent observers from the European countries, who have given an objective evaluation of the parliamentary elections.
On Monday, Antonio Milososki, the head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission to the 23 September 2012 parliamentary elections in Belarus, expressed doubts about the correctness of the ballot count procedures in the elections.
