Russia suggests holding Sextet meeting with Iranian officials in October - Ryabkov

MOSCOW. Sept 28 (Interfax) - Russia suggests holding a meeting between the international Sextet on Iran at the level of political directors and Iranian officials in October 2012, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"We would like the Sextet to meet with Iranian officials as soon as possible. We believe there is a need to agree on the time and location of this round," Ryabkov told reporters on Friday responding to a question from Interfax on the possibility of holding a Sextet meeting similar to the one that took place in June in the nearest future.

"We suggest that the Sextet make an appropriate proposal. We suggest holding such a meeting without a delay, in October 2012," Ryabkov said.
