PACE fails to shift Russia's monitoring to CoE Council of Ministers
STRASBOURG. Oct 2 (Interfax) - The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) lacked votes to recommend the shift of Russia's monitoring to the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers.
The decision required a two-thirds vote of the present deputies.
The recommendation gained the support of 121 deputies, and 74 voted against.
Hence, the assembly will continue monitoring Russia.
