Lavrov to meet with EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg on Oct 14
MOSCOW. Oct 4 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with EU colleagues in the "One plus 27" format in Luxembourg on October 14, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told a Thursday press briefing in Moscow.
"Sergei Lavrov will meet with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton and foreign ministers of EU member countries in Luxembourg on October 14 in accordance with the political dialogue schedule," he said.
"One plus 27" meetings are regular, he said. Apart from Russia-EU relations, the sides will discuss topical international issues, he said.
The ministers will speak about ways to strengthen the political dialogue, trade and economic relations of Russia and the European Union, to promote visa-free travel and to interact in external security, Lukashevich said. "It is planned to discuss the most pressing international and regional affairs, too," he added.
