United Russia drafting appeals to police, security services over Anatomy of Protest 2 film
MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax) - State Duma Vice-Speaker, United Russia General Committee Deputy Secretary Sergei Zheleznyak will ask the police to verify facts presented in the Anatomy of Protest 2 film aired by NTV on Friday evening.
"Zheleznyak is drafting appeals to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Russian Investigative Committee, the Interior Ministry and the Federal Security Service," the vice-speaker's press secretary told Interfax.
State Duma Security and Anti-Corruption Committee Chairperson Irina Yarovaya said the police must investigate the facts and provide a criminal legal evaluation.
"Characters of this film are neither politicians nor the opposition, they are just criminals. It seems these people are ready to commit any crime for money; they present a threat to the security, life and health of Russian citizens and judging by this film they do not differ from terrorists and felons; they have the same sponsors," the committee press services quoted Yarovaya.
As for the legal evaluation of the actions of these characters, the sooner it is done the better, she stressed.
It was reported earlier that former Bank of Moscow President Andrei Borodin is ready to sponsor the non-systemic opposition in Russia, judging by the Anatomy of Protest film NTV aired in the Russian Far East on Friday.
The film claimed that ex-head of the Georgian Parliament Defense and Security Committee Givi Targamadze was the intermediary and Left Front leader Sergei Udaltsov was a person boosting the protest movement in Russia.
