Rosinter ups revenue 3.4% in 9M to 7.5 bln rubles

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Rosinter Restaurants boosted consolidated revenue 3.4% year-on-year in January-September 2012 to 7.529 billion rubles, the company said in trading update.

Revenue grew 6.1% in Q3 to 2.584 billion rubles.

Same-store gross revenue fell in Q3, by 3.1%. The number of transactions fell 2.7% and the average check fell 0.3%.

Same-store gross revenue fell 1.6% in the 9M as the number of transactions fell 4%, however the average check grew 2.4%.

"In Q3 2012 we observed small improvements in transactions. As a whole, consolidated net operating revenue increased by 6.1% which includes revenue consolidation of Costa Coffee business. In June 2012 Rosinter has acquired from Whitbread Group the remaining 50% stake in the joint venture and now operates the coffee-shop chain as a direct franchise. The company plan to launch Costa Coffee subfranchise that would provide more opportunities for current and potential franchisees," said Kevin Todd, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Rosinter's dining chain grew to 386 restaurants with the net addition of two corporate and five franchised outlets during 3Q 2012.

Rosinter manages family food restaurants in Russia, the CIS and a number of Central European countries, offering Italian, Japanese, American and Russian cuisine under its proprietary brands IL Patio, Planet Sushi and 1-2-3 Cafe and its licensed brands T.G.I. Friday's and Sibirskaya Corona. Also through a joint venture with Whitbread Plc the company is currently developing the Costa Coffee chain in Russia.
