Rossiya Airlines ups passenger transport 24% in 9M
ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 11 (Interfax) - OJSC Rossiya Airlines boosted passenger transport by 23.9% year-on-year to 3.362 million people in January-September 2012, the company said in a statement.
The airline transported 1.728 million passengers on international routes (up 21.7%) and 1.634 million passengers on domestic routes (26.5% growth).
Passenger turnover climbed 25.9% to 6.921 billion passenger-kilometers in the first nine months of 2012. Flying time rose 20.7% to 83,800 hours, the statement said.
Rossiya Airlines is among the five largest Russian airlines. Its main shareholders are OJSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines , with 75% minus one share, and the St. Petersburg Administration, with 25% plus one share.
Last year Rossiya Airlines raised passenger traffic by 15% to 3.54 million people.
