Normative labor record is most difficult problem of pension reform - Vice-Premier Golodets

NOVO-OGARYOVO. Oct 16 (Interfax) - The proposal to raise the normative labor record to 40 years is one of the most difficult questions of the pending pension reform, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets said at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

"There are some difficult issues, and the normative labor record is one of the most difficult," she said.

The draft pension strategy sets the normative labor record at 40 years as a condition of the maximal pension, Golodets said.

"The proposal has caused numerous questions and disputes. We have received numerous appeals from trade unions and average citizens. The discussion will go on," the vice prime minister said.

She said the issue is difficult for public comprehension.
