Putin asks new regional development minister to focus on people's resettlement from rundown housing
NOVO-OGARYOVO, Moscow region. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has asked newly-appointed Regional Development Minister Igor Slyunyayev to attach particular significance to the problem of rundown housing and people's resettlement from such.
"The ministry is facing a lot of tasks, but I am urging you never to forget about one of them and attach particular significance to it: I mean the resettlement of [people living in] rundown housing," Putin said at a meeting with Slyunyayev on Wednesday.
"The Kremlin press service reported earlier in the day that Putin had dismissed Oleg Govorun as regional development minister and appointed Slyunyayev in his stead.
