Sberbank looks into retail services on forex market
MOSCOW. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Sberbank Russia is looking into the possibility of introducing services for retail customers on the forex market, Sberbank Deputy Chairman Bella Zlatkis told the press Wednesday.
"We are thinking about many things. This is just a subject for discussion. A simple execution-topic. We can work directly, we can acquire a company. This is not happening right now," she said.
The work of forex companies is not licensed in Russia at present. The main players are specialized forex companies. In addition, these services are offered by various banks and professional stock market participants, such as Finam, BCS, Alor, VTB 24 and Alfa Bank.
