Russian govt again offering stake in Slantsy, price slashed to 112 mln rubles

ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 22 (Interfax) - The Federal Property Agency (Rosimuschestvo) plans to hold another auction to sell a 41.75% stake (55.67% of voting shares) in OJSC Plant Slantsy, a major producer of calcined coke in the Leningrad Region.

The starting price for the stake will be 111.693 million rubles, according to an agency order. The date of the auction has not been set yet.

The agency has tried to sell this stake in Slantsy repeatedly in the past. The last time, at the end of December 2011, Rosimuschestvo held an auction that an agency spokesman said at the time was won by LLC Sintneft with a bid of 168.799 million rubles, which was equivalent to the starting price. However, later Rosimuschestvo materials showed that the auction had been declared invalid. The reasons for this decision were not clarified.

Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko proposed earlier the initiation of a request to Rosimuschestvo concerning the transfer of 41.75% of issued shares (55.67% of voting shares) in the plant to Rosneft , with which preliminary negotiations on the enterprise's development program have already been held.
