OSCE, CSTO secretaries general to meet in Moscow
MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax-AVN) - Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Secretary General Lamberto Zannier will discuss prospective cooperation with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Moscow, CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told Interfax-AVN on Monday.
"OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier will address an enlarged meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council on October 24," he said.
CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha will attend the enlarged meeting; he will meet with Zannier, too, Zainetdinov said.
"The CSTO and the OSCE interact in a broad range of topical problems with the emphasis on stability, security and prevention and settlement of conflicts in the Eurasian region," Zainetdinov said.
Both organizations contribute in the post-conflict reconstructions in Afghanistan and the suppression of terrorism and drug trafficking and develop military-political cooperation.
