Economic Development Ministry cuts 2012 GDP growth forecast
ASTANA. Oct 23 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's GDP will expand by 5.4% in 2012, the country's Ministry of Economic Development and Trade said.
The ministry's previous growth forecast stood at 6%.
"We have adjusted the macroeconomic growth forecast based on the current trends. Real GDP growth in 2012 will amount to 5.4%, 0.6 pp lower than forecast early this year," Economic Development and Trade Minister Erbolat Dosayev said at a Tuesday government session in Astana.
