Eleven hurt in construction accident in Yerevan
YEREVAN. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Nine workers hurt in the collapse of an unfinished building in the center of Yerevan have been hospitalized, the Armenian Emergency Situations Ministry told Interfax on Thursday.
"Eleven people were hurt and nine were hospitalized. Four are in critical condition," the ministry said.
"The search-and-rescue operation continues. They may be still people under the debris," it said.
An Interfax correspondent reported from the ground that the third floor of the unfinished restaurant building had collapsed.
Emergency Situations Minister Armen Yeritsian is remaining at the accident scene.
