Launch of S. Korea's KSLV-1 postponed for technical reasons - Roscosmos
MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax-AVN) - The launch of South Korea's KSLV-1 carrier rocket, initially set for Friday, has been rescheduled after problems were detected with the rocket's first stage, which was built by Russia, a spokesman for the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) told Interfax-AVN.
"Problems with the onboard systems of the first stage were uncovered during preparations for the rocket's launch," he said.
"A decision was made to remove the carrier rocket from the launch pad and transport it to the operations and checkout building for additional checks," the spokesman said.
"A new launch date will be announced later," he said.
The KSLV-1 carrier rocket, the first stage of which was designed and built by Russia's Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center, was expected to lift off from the Naro Space Center in South Korea at 10:30 a.m. Moscow time on Friday.
