MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and UN-Arab League Special Envoy on Syria Lakhdar Brahimi plan to discuss possible practical measures to settle the Syrian crisis as soon as possible at a meeting in Moscow on October 29, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said at a press briefing on Friday.
"We expect UN-Arab League Special Envoy on Syria Mr. Brahimi to pay a brief visit [to Moscow] on Monday. He plans to hold consultations with Foreign Minister Lavrov. At the meeting, the sides will discuss possible practical steps aimed at resolving the crisis in Syria by political and diplomatic methods as soon as possible," he said.
"We are certain that all collective efforts should abide by the Geneva Communique, which was agreed upon at a meeting of the Action Group on June 30 this year," Lukashevich said.
