Telenor issue may be settled by govt investment commission in 2nd half of Nov - Artemyev

MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - The conflict with Telenor over Vimpelcom may be settled during a meeting of the governmental commission for foreign investments in the latter part of next month, the head of Russia's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) Igor Artemyev said.

"For now it [judgement] is put off until November 21. We are hoping that before then we will be able to remove all issues [a governmental commission session will be held], likely around November 21. We will bring this matter up with the commission, but I think that we, before the meeting and in the context of the government, have to try to find a resolution," Artemyev told the press on Friday, noting that the situation is developing for the better now.
