PACE advises Ukraine to have constitutionally enshrined election system

KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax) - The chief observer from the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) at Ukraine's October 28 parliamentary elections has reiterated international recommendations for Ukraine to enshrine its parliamentary election system in its constitution in order to prevent repeated changes to election law.

PACE and the Venice Commission recommended that Ukraine have a parliamentary election system comprising proportional representation and party list polls and enshrine it in its constitution, Andreas Gross told a news conference in Kyiv on Monday.
