Limonov moved to police department
MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Opposition activist, writer and leader of the unregistered Other Russia party Eduard Limonov was delivered to the Tverskoye police department after he was detained on Triumfalnaya Square on Wednesday.
"I am at a police station, and I can see Konstantin Kosyakin and a girl from the Left Front here," Limonov told Interfax.
He said that no charges have been brought against him and that police acted as usual during the detention on Triumfalnaya Square, but he added that he had no complaints.
"No problems, " he said.
Police broke up an opposition rally on Triumfalnaya Square on Wednesday and detained Limonov, Left Front activist Konstantin Kosyakin and several other opposition activists.
About 20 protestors were detained, The Other Russia member Alexander Averin told Interfax.
Opposition parties wanted to get the go-ahead to holding the rally on Triumfalnaya Square from Moscow officials, but their application was rejected. Violations of the law were cited.
