Kazatomprom ups uranium production 8% in 9M
ALMATY. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Kazatomprom raised uranium output 8% year-on-year to 8,601 tonnes in January-September, Kazakhstan's national nuclear corporation said.
Kazakhstan's overall production of uranium for 9 months of 2012 amounted to 15,080 tonnes, also 8% more.
Kazatomprom is the national operator of Kazakhstan for export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, special equipment, technologies and dual-use materials.
