Russian oil exports outside CIS up 0.7% in Jan-Oct

MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Exports of Russian oil to countries outside the CIS edged up 0.7% year-on-year to 177.048 million tonnes (4.255 million barrels per day) in the first ten months of 2012, the latest figures from the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex show.

Exports outside the CIS in October totaled 17.971 million tonnes (4.249 million barrels per day).

Russian oil exports to outside the CIS through pipeline monopoly Transneft totaled 159.704 million tonnes in the ten months, and about 17.344 million tonnes bypassed Transneft. This included respectively 16.394 million tonnes and 1.577 million tonnes of oil in October.

Oil shipments through the Novorossiysk port via Transneft's pipeline system (including transshipments) totaled 36.314 million tonnes in the ten months (3.617 million tonnes in October). The figures were 58.243 million tonnes (5.688 million tonnes) for the Primorsk port, 12.908 million tonnes (1.3 million tonnes) for Kozmino, 10.984 million tonnes (2.198 million tonnes) for Ust-Luga and 0.74 million tonnes (none in October) for Tuapse.

State oil major Rosneft shipped 50.741 million tonnes of oil outside the CIS via Transneft in the first ten months of 2012 (5.609 million tonnes in October); Surgutneftegas shipped 22.046 million tonnes (2.817 million tonnes); TNK-BP Holding shipped 25.67 million tonnes (1.998 million tonnes); Lukoil shipped 21.542 million tonnes (1.662 million tonnes); Tatneft shipped 10.047 million tonnes (0.843 million tonnes); and Gazprom Neft shipped 10.231 million tonnes (1.407 million tonnes).

Companies that are not part of vertically integrated oil companies exported 9.011 million tonnes of oil to countries outside the CIS through Transneft in the ten months, including 1.072 million tonnes in October. Operators of production sharing agreements exported 1.294 million tonnes of oil, including 0.131 million tonnes in October.

Transshipments totaled 16.137 million tonnes in the ten months for Kazakhstan, 1.659 million tonnes for Azerbaijan and 0.014 million tonnes for Turkmenistan, including respectively 1.537 million tonnes, 0.225 million tonnes and zero in October.

Russian oil companies decreased crude exports to countries in the CIS by 7.9% to 23.181 million tonnes in the ten months, including 1.874 million tonnes in October. Exports to Belarus jumped 18.5% year-on-year to 17.536 million tonnes in the first ten months of 2012 (1.348 million tonnes in October), while exports to Kazakhstan fell 24.5% to 4.92 million tonnes (0.526 million tonnes) and exports to Ukraine plunged by more than 80% year-on-year to 0.725 million tonnes. Oil has not been exported to Ukraine from Russia since March.
