Over 40 detained in Nizhny Novgorod March of Regions
NIZHNY NOVGOROD. Nov 4 (Interfax) - Forty-one people were detained on Zvezdinka Street in Nizhny Novgorod on Sunday during the unpermitted Nizhny Novgorod Civil March - March of Regions, regional police spokesperson Olga Kravchuk said.
"The detainees were taken to police stations in the Nizhegorodsky, Kanavinsky and Sovetsky districts," she said.
Members of the Nizhny Novgorod city police department's public council monitored the action, she said.
Earlier reports said that no less than 20 people had been detained.
