Searches, questionings continue as part of Oboronservice probe - Markin

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Investigative actions continue under the Oboronservice criminal inquiry at companies affiliated with Oboronservice and at the Defense Ministry's property department, Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax.

"Intensive investigative actions continue, including questionings, seizures of documents and other procedures, at the Defense Ministry's property department and at Oboronservice's subsidiaries based in Moscow," he said.

A preliminary investigation under five criminal cases started on counts of committing fraud in transactions involving Oboronservice's real estate, plots of land and assets, led to the conclusion that the listed crimes were committed by the same people, Markin said.

"In this connection, in order to guarantee an exhaustive and comprehensive investigation, these criminal cases have been combined into one," he said.
