Court in Smolensk upholds Taisia Osipova sentence

SMOLENSK. Nov 7 (Interfax) - The Smolensk Regional Court's judicial panel has upheld the verdict handed down to Taisia Osipova by the city's Zadneprovsky District Court, an Interfax correspondent reported.

The Smolensk Regional Court's judicial panel on Wednesday heard appeals against the verdict passed on Osipova by the Zadneprovsky District Court on August 28, 2012. Back in August she was found guilty of planning to sell a large batch of drugs and was sentenced eight years in a general prison.
