Moscow gunman surrenders to police after killing five - source
MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - The young man who shot five people dead in Moscow on Wednesday in an apparent act of frustration after being dumped by his girlfriend surrendered to police "without any resistance," a law enforcement source said.
The source told Interfax that the gunman, a lawyer, had been drinking heavily after his girlfriend abandoned him.
On Wednesday morning, he went to his ex-lover's office, taking two semi-automatic rifles with him, and opened fire on those inside, killing five and injuring two.
The management of a Moscow hospitals told Interfax the gunman's former girlfriend, who is 24 years old, had been admitted and was in intensive care following surgery.
