Lavrov, Arab leaders discuss Syria among global affairs
MOSCOW. Nov 8 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will take part in the second ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between Russia and the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (CCASG) in Al Riyadh on November 14, ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told a Thursday press briefing.
"Hopefully, the forum will be efficient and give a fresh impetus to political and business contacts with Council member countries," he said.
The Russian foreign minister and Arab leaders will discuss a number of global issues, such as Syria and collective security in the Gulf, Lukashevich said.
Lavrov will meet with Saudi leaders on the forum sidelines to ponder bilateral cooperation.
