Coal output in Kuzbass up 7% in 10mths

KEMEROVO. Nov 9 (Interfax) - Coal production in the Kemerovo Region went up by 7.1% year-on-year to 167.2 million tonnes in January-October 2012, the region's administration said in a statement citing stats from its coal and energy department

This figure includes coking coal with production up 7.6% to 43.9 million tonnes in the 10 months.

The statement said that that following enterprises increased coal output: OJSC SUEK-Kuzbass (up 3.6 million tonnes), OJSC SDS-Ugol (up 3.4 million tonnes), LLC Sibuglemet Holding (up 1.3 million tonnes), OJSC United Coal Company Yuzhkuzbassugol (up 1.2 million tonnes, and LLC Coal Company Zarechnaya (up 928,300 tonnes).

Consumers received 159.3 million tonnes of Kuzbass coal in the ten months, up 2.8% year-on-year, including 74.3 million tonnes for export (up 5.5%).
