Putin endorses new makeup of Presidential Human Rights Council

MOSCOW. Nov 12 (Interfax) - President Vladimir Putin has signed an ordinance reshuffling the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights.

The document published on the Kremlin website says the council has 39 members, among them journalist Leonid Parfyonov, Agora head Pavel Chikov, Golos head Lilia Shibanova, and journalists Maxim Shevchenko, Yelena Masyuk and Pavel Gusev.

Fifteen persons, among them Moscow Helsinki Group head Lyudmila Alexeyeva and human rights activists Svetlana Gannushkina and Valentin Gefter, stopped being council members.
