Dollar, euro edge down on Monday
MOSCOW. Nov 12 (Interfax) - The U.S. dollar and the euro finished out Monday's MICEX trade on a slight decline, while the ruble edged up against the bi-currency basket amid expectant moods on the markets.
At the end of the day, the dollar stood at 31.61 rubles/$1, down 2.1 kopecks over Friday's level.
The euro came to 40.21 rubles/EUR1, down 1.5 kopecks.
The bi-currency basket ($0.55 and EUR0.45) edged down to kopecks to 35.48 rubles.
The Central Bank of Russia raised its official exchange rate for the dollar by 10.91 kopecks to 31.6053 rubles/$1, while it lowered its official exchange rate for the euro by 0.92 kopecks to 40.2146 rubles/EUR1.
There were no Today deals in the dollar on the MICEX. In Tomorrow deals, the dollar averaged up 4.13 kopecks to 31.6179 rubles. Overall trading volume was $3.007 billion for the day.
The euro averaged up 0.97 kopecks to 40.2013 rubles/EUR1 in Today deals on the MICEX, but it averaged down 5.14 kopecks to 40.2087 rubles/EUR1 in Tom in volume of EUR418.1 million, including EUR226.8 million Today and EUR191.3 million Tom.
The MosPrime rate for overnight loans rose 16 basis points to 6% per annum.
