Russian airlines fly 15.5% more passengers in 10mths

MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - Russia's civil airlines flew 63.204 million passengers in January-October 2012, up 15.5% year-on-year, the Federal Aviation Agency (Rosaviatsia) said in a statement.

Airlines flew 6.336 million persons in October, up 18.6%.

Passenger turnover in the ten months came to 165.73 billion passenger kilometers, up 17.4% year-on-year. Passenger turnover in October rose by 19.3% to 16.606 billion passenger kilometers.

Russian airlines increased freight turnover by 3.1% to 4.182 billion tonne-kilometers in the 10 months. Freight turnover in October went up by 1.4% year-on-year to 459 million tonne-kilometers.
